Conrad Murray Convicted on Involuntary Manslaughter

From the very beginning I knew the case would boil down to involuntary manslaughter. It only made since. They wouldn't be able to prove he had a motive to commit a homicide, mens rea being his mental state at the time of injection wasn't harsh because it also was consented by Michael. When you kill someone by accident without substantial knowledge of the out come you cant be held liable, but in this case Dr. Murray did know and must be held accountable.

Its a shame that one of the greatest performers of all time had to suffer death behind a sleeping aide. Some say it was a conspiracy, some say it was simply a overdose. Bottom line is Micheal's gone and will be forever missed. Rest In Paradise Michael.

Domestic Violence and Pro Athletes

The recent story of Chris Cook of the Minnesotta Vikings touched home when I read it. Its a tragedy that such a great player or any person for that instance to be engaged in a DV situation. These situations happen in many households across the country and is very unfortunate.

Studies have been done over and over about the emotional eruptions and how they occur, why they occur and when which only gives a reader and/or researcher the shell of the phenomenon. Most people need to know the variable in the equation along with their functions and it all boil down to someone being hurt and saddened emotionally. But before the bottom line emotion can be "expressed" which is a key aspect, the "wall of pride and ego" fall from the sky bocking it. In this instance, instead of crying or simply expressing the pain felt, anger and rage is illustrated when indeed anger is not the real feeling, its the result of blocked/suppressed sadness.

I send my condolences to both of them and their families. I hope this sheds light to both of them so that this mistake is not made in the future. For every action there is a reaction but expressing the bottom line emotions without suppression will give better results. This must be remember day in and day out.

Peace and Love to the Sports and Entertainment Industries.

Should the NFL buy into the UFL?

A recent article discussed that allegedly this may be the last season for the United Football League. The UFL has turned out to be a great outlet for elite American football players who just missed a shot at an NFL Roster spot to continue to play and maintain a good readiness for that call from an NFL organization.

There has been a little problem with keeping up with the fiscal obligations of running such a sports league and this has put the league into a bind. It seems the league has only generated local support and national support is what's needed to maintain and expand the league.

With the support of multiple sports marketing firms maybe this can turn around. By the way Congratulations to the Virginia Destroyers for winning the Championship Game last week defeating the Las Vegas Locomotives 17-3. Both teams have proven to have superior talent with great coaching staffs. Hopefully we can keep the league and also expand with the help of some investors and media outlets.
